Visit Axiom Software at the SXSW Festival!

February 13,2008

Axiom Software has chosen the SXSW Trade show and Festival to announce the release of the Axiom Stack Personal Edition along with the Axiom Blog. The Axiom Stack is a Web framework that brings “Zen-like” simplicity to writing Web applications, in a language developers already know. The Axiom Blog is a simple yet progressive blog application. The Personal Edition of the Axiom Stack and the Axiom Blog are being distributed for free download on the Axiom Stack Web site at http://www.axiomstack.com.

While Axiom Software has many implementations of the Axiom Stack, this is the first time the personal edition of the software is being released to the public.

The Personal Edition will offer most of the same features of the Standard, Professional and Enterprise Editions including a Web server, integrated security, and database. “Axiom Software is pleased to be able to make this edition available free of charge to help developers experience the flexibility of creating and implementing dynamic websites and applications in a rapid manner”, says Gregg Wyland the Director of Product Management for Axiom Software. He adds, “Our developers have been creating Web 2.0 applications on top of Axiom Stack for some time and the increased speed of production and reduced code base has been a powerful advantage”. Axiom Stack is an easy to use, flexible and robust application stack that speeds development time by using server side JavaScript as opposed to compiled Java Servlets. “Very little work is needed to achieve object persistence and it is largely transparent to the developer,” says Ali Beyad, Senior Architect and Engineer at Axiom Software. Axiom Stack is also available with commercial licensing and support which includes more features like MS COM bridges and clustering support.

The Axiom Blog, included as a fully functional reference application, shows how dynamic Web 2.0 applications can be made quickly and cleanly. The blog includes post and comment management, blog settings, WYSIWYG editor, plus category creation and assignment for the posts.
